Letter: Trump’s actions speak louder than his words

It is said that actions speak louder than words. I think someone forgot to tell our president this. In his campaign rallies, Trump wraps himself in the flag and expresses his admiration for our military.
President Trump chose to go to Saudi Arabia for his first foreign trip. He chose not to visit any American troops in the region. The world got to see him do an Arabian sword dance. I guess that meant more to him than being seen supporting our brave American soldiers in the Middle East.
Recently, he traveled to Paris, France, for the 100-year anniversary of World War I. He was supposed to visit an American cemetery where thousands of soldiers are buried. He decided it was not worth the effort to travel by car to get there. He showed the world how little he cares about our dead American war heroes.
On Veterans Day, Trump did not lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. He did not consider that to be a priority for the day. It was very disrespectful to our military.
I really think someone should tell President Trump that his actions speak louder than his words.
