Provenio Consulting is open for business. According to a press release, the new consulting firm focuses on offering safety, environmental and continuous improvement services to smaller manufacturing and hospitality businesses and municipalities that don’t have enough employees to justify full-time staff in those areas, but want to ensure they protect the safety of their employees, customers and the environment, meet regulatory needs and build their brand around being socially responsible.

Services Provenio Consulting offers include developing and implementing policies and procedures, conducting training, performing safety and environmental audits, regulatory reporting and managing continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency, reduce waste and gain throughput. Clients get editable documents in formats that fit their needs, rather than a simple PDF they cannot adjust to fit future needs. Many common fines by Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and other agencies are easily avoidable, but not well-known by business managers.

Environmental violations can land business owners and managers in jail. Provenio focuses on more than simple compliance and aims to make solutions solve multiple problems efficiently, according to the release.

As the primary consultant, Brad Kramer’s background in emergency services, business, and manufacturing led his career path towards safety and environmental services.

“I didn’t learn about these topics in some college class, but rather hands-on in industry,” Kramer said. “Electrical safety, for example, wasn’t a theory from a book. I learned about it as a kid taking apart gadgets to fix them, then taking shop classes, then in industry as a maintenance tech and machine operator and finally honing that knowledge by taking safety classes to develop procedures.”

Kramer has been a safety professional for companies ranging across heavy manufacturing, agriculture, fuel distribution and food manufacturing. Other experiences he brings to companies include being a firefighter and emergency medical responder, experience managing projects, and being involved in local and state boards and committees, such as volunteering with the Minnesota Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and being a board manager for the Shell Rock River Watershed District.
