Albert Lea Retired Educators will meet at noon Thursday at the Albert Lea American Legion.

According to a press release, the speaker will be a representative from the Albert Lea Fire Department, who will speak about safety measures to take and services provided by the local fire department.

Retired educators will ring bells for the Salvation Army from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 6 at Hy-Vee.

Those who are interested in ringing for a one-hour shift and are not a member of the organization should call Ann Berry at 373-6004. Members can sign up at the meeting.

Donations will be collected at the meeting as well to continue to support active teachers and their work in the classroom.
