Albert Lea Community Theatre to have play auditions

Albert Lea Community Theatre announced auditions will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 and 18 for the Agatha Christie murder mystery play “The Mousetrap” at Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, 147 N. Broadway in Albert Lea.
According to a press release, the play is about a group of strangers stranded in a boarding house during a snowstorm, one of whom is a murderer. A full slate of suspects is present and into their midst comes a policeman traveling on skis. To get to the rationale of the killer’s pattern, the policeman probes the background of everyone present and rattles a lot of skeletons. Directed by Brian Mattson, eight performances of the murder mystery play are scheduled for Feb. 14 through Feb. 23. There are eight roles available for men and women of various ages. There are no roles for children in this show. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. Rehearsals will be scheduled weeknights, with some weekend involvement closer to the performance dates.
