Bruce Allen Steele, 63, of rural Scarville, Iowa, died peacefully at his home Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 E. Main St. in Lake Mills with Kermit Singelstad officiating. Burial will be in the Center Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Lake Mills.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mittelstadt Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Bruce Allen Steele was born Oct. 3, 1955, in Albert Lea to parents Raymond and Carmen (Allen) Steele. He attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School.
Following graduation, Bruce worked in Albert Lea for a few years before moving to Lake Mills and beginning his career at Larson Manufacturing. He worked at Larson for over 30 years, retiring in 2014.
On Nov. 20, 1976, Bruce was united in marriage with Diane Kay Anderson. The couple first lived in Lake Mills but spent most of their years together in their home just east of Scarville.
Bruce enjoyed horse sales/shows, riding motorcycle, ice fishing, helping his brother-in-law Gordy Jr. with farming, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Carmen Steele, of Albert Lea; three brothers, Ron (Mary) Steele of Ellendale, David Steele and Jim (Mary Kaye) Steele, all of Albert Lea; the Anderson family: his mother-in-law, Kay Anderson, of Scarville; sisters- and brothers-in-law Julie (Kent) Swenson of Scarville, Iowa, Gorden Jr. (Denise) Anderson of Leland, Iowa, Geoffrey (Jodie) Anderson of Leland, Annette (Brian) Larson of Janesville and Mark (Sandy) Haugen of Forest City, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Sarah Heath, and her family of Lake Mills.
Bruce was preceded in death by his dad, Raymond, in 2007; wife, Diane, in 2014; and his father-in-law, Gorden Anderson Sr., in 2014.
