Grapevine Twist Square Dance Club

On Nov. 11, the Grapevine Twist Square Dance Club had Monty Guenzler calling.  Seven members and six guests attended the dance.  A potluck lunch followed.

Wayne Kubicek came to call at the Grapevine Twist Square Dance Club on Nov. 24.  They brought friends along.  Thirteen  guests and 12 members attended the dance. Everyone trying to dance off the Thanksgiving meal.  Lunch was served after the dance.

Dances take place at the Senior Center, 1739 W Main St. in Albert Lea. The entrance is located on the south side of the Skyline Mall.

The next dance will be Dec. 8.

Duplicate Bridge

Nine teams played Duplicate Bridge on Nov 20 at the Senior Center in Austin. Winners were  Judy Bungum and Dave Solomonson, first place; Lorraine Lippert and Ron Peters, second place; John Leisen and Rick Stroup, third place; Connie Johnson and Jaynard Johnson, fourth place; and Gail and Ray Schmidt, fifth place.

Nine teams played Duplicate Bridge on Nov. 21 at the Senior Center in Austin. Winners were  Tom Flaherty and Stan Schultz, first place; Vandy Newman and Ron Peters, second place; Dave Ring and Orrin Roisen, third place; Gail and Ray Schmidt, fourth place; and John Leisen and Rick Stroup, fifth place.

Duplicate Bridge is played at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and at noon on Wednesdays. Players come from Adams, Austin, Albert Lea, Rose Creek, Northwood and Mason City. All bridge players are welcome to come and play.

A Christmas lunch will take place at 11 a.m. Dec. 12. Those who wish to attend are asked to  bring a snack and join the group before play starts. Pizza, paper products and drink will be provided by the group. The meeting has been moved from the craft room to the main dining room.
