Funeral services for Torben Ardel Johnson, 18 months, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. Dr. David Schafer will officiate. Friends may visit with family one hour before services at the funeral home.

The family lost their smiley, giggly Torben unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018.

Torben was born July 31, 2017, in Albert Lea, the son of Jacob and Amanda Johnson.

In his short life, he filled his family’s lives with much love and many memories. Smiles come as his family remembers him chewing on his blanket and playing pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake — giggling all the way.

Torben will be forever in the hearts of mom and dad Amanda and Jake Johnson and his older brothers Marshall Schmidt and Dale Johnson, all of Emmons; his maternal grandparents Tammy and Ben Dolsen of Emmons; paternal grandparents Gary and Tammy Johnson of Yankton, South Dakota, and Sandra Greve of Albert Lea; maternal great-grandmothers Bonita Braund of Albert Lea and Darlene Ashton of Lawton, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles Jenny (Cory) Briest of Yankton, Kyler Johnson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Trynette (Jeff) Gross of Glenwood City, Wisconsin, Anthony Woodraska of Clarion, Iowa, Chris (Dianna) Braund of Albert Lea, Tim (Krystle) Braund of Albert Lea, Joe Braund (Kelly Learn) of Albert Lea, Tracy (Christian) Vokoun of Alden, Shawn (Samantha) Dolsen of Emmons, Garrett Braund (Harley Petersen) of Albert Lea and Amy (Jed) Laabs of Arlington; and many cousins and great-aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Vern Braund.
