5 things to this weekend

1. Trivia and beer
Lake Mills’ 5 Alarm Brewing Co. returns with its Brews & Qs event, an afternoon of trivia for teams of up to 6. Those interested in participating can register until 1:45 p.m. Sunday. Trivia starts at 2 p.m. Brush up on your American history — the afternoon’s theme — and, if you play well enough to win, prepare for prizes. Proceeds from trivia benefit the Lake Mills Sesquicentennial Celebration.
2. 3-D archery tournament
Join the Full Draw Archery Club on Saturday and Sunday for a 3-D tournament with pop-up targets, a moving rail and more animals at unmarked distances. The tournament runs from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday upstairs in the Knutson Building.
3. Crossroads Motorsports Show
Looking to buy, sell or trade chassis, shocks, engines, safety equipment or race car graphics? At the inaugural Crossroads Motorsports show, over 30 vendors will be on display with racing and motorsports wares. Those who pay the $10 admittance fee can also attend a free shocks seminar. The show is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Armory.
4. Yoga
The Meraki Studios has a full weekend of yoga planned, with different sessions for different interests. For those interested in discovering their dosha, there’s Friday night’s 5:30 p.m. session. For the animal lovers, there’s a beginner-friendly Seva sequence at 9 a.m. Saturday, with class proceeds heading to the Humane Society of Freeborn County. And for those into the moon phases — or gongs, or simply self-reflection — there’s Saturday’s 5 p.m. new moon yoga with a gong bath.
5. Live music in Manchester
The first weekend of the new year could mean discovering new music for those at The Bend in the Road Saturday night. Whalen & the Willows use motifs from everyday life and the feelings that come with it to bring authentic music to their listeners. Music begins at 6 p.m.
