ISU announces graduates

Iowa State University awarded a total of 843 degrees at the end of the 2018 summer term. Among those graduating was Noah Leuer of Austin, who received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.

A.L. students graduate from MSU-Moorhead

Minnesota State University Moorhead awarded degrees to about 500 students during its fall commencement program Dec. 20  in the university’s Nemzek Fieldhouse. Among those who graduated were homeschooled student Michael Osmundson and Albert Lea High School graduates Luke Sunblad and Philipp Wagner.

MSU announces graduates

Minnesota State University — Mankato awarded 1,745 degrees Dec. 15 in Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena on the Minnesota State Mankato campus. Among those who graduated were Bradford Milliron of Albert Lea, who received a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering tech; A.J. Rasmusson of Albert Lea, who received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies; Violet Reynolds of Albert Lea, who received a bachelor’s degree in nursing with Magna Cum Laude honors; James Swenson of Albert Lea, who received a bachelor’s degree in accounting with Magna Cum Laude honors; Brooklyn Wacholz of Albert Lea, who received a bachelor’s degree in nursing; Anna Waltman of Albert Lea, who received a bachelor’s degree in finance; Caitlin Galagan of Alden, who received a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and literature education; Courtney Janzig of Alden, who received a master’s degree in early childhood special education; Dallas Olson of Bricelyn, who received a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement; Alec Holland of Ellendale, who received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies; Taylor Herfindahl, who received a bachelor’s degree in accounting with Summa Cum Laude honors; Tori Raimann of New Richland, who received a master’s degree in counseling and student personnel; Dylan Herman of Wells, who received a bachelor’s degree in management with Cum Laude honors; Rachel Mattick of Wells, who received a master’s degree in social work; and Duncan Widman of Wells, who received bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and earth science.

MSOE announces dean’s list

Marybeth Abts of Albert Lea received academic honors from Milwaukee School of Engineering for the 2018 fall quarter. Undergraduate students who earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher are on the Dean’s List. Students who have maintained a 3.7 or higher receive high honors.

SDSU releases honor roll

Alex Romer of Albert Lea, Erica Wunsche of Albert Lea, Taylor Schnoor of Easton, Nicholas Bartness of Ellendale, Logan Goslee of Glenville; Courtney Shae Williamson of Glenville, who had a 4.0 GPA, Melissa Malakowsky of Hartland, and Malarie Scholtes of Wells have been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence after the fall 2018 semester at South Dakota State University. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges. Students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Area students graduate from ISU

Area students graduated from Iowa State University during its fall commencement ceremonies Dec. 14 and Dec. 15. Graduates included Camille Tewes of Albert Lea, who received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with Cum Laude honors; Lincoln Boehmer of Lake Mills received a bachelor’s of science degree in construction engineering; Tanner Fjelstad of Lake Mills, who received a bachelor’s of architecture degree in architecture-professional degree;

Chaden Riles of Lake Mills, who received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with Magna Cum Laude honors; Jessica Phillips of New Richland, who received a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and marketing; and Gabriel Kramer of Northwood, who received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural systems technology.
