Janiece Gail Quam was born July 27, 1938, in Northwood, the daughter of Vale and Bernice (Juhl) Low. She grew up and attended school in Emmons. On July 10, 1955, Janiece was united in marriage to C. Paul Quam at Silver Lake Lutheran Church. She retired from Thorne Crest as a nursing assistant. Janiece was a member of Central Freeborn Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Elks Club and the Eagles Club.
Janiece loved being a mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and auntie. She was the matriarch of the family and taught all of them how to live and love. Janiece always put others before herself. She loved her family to the fullest. She never missed an event that involved her kids or grandkids. Janiece loved to bake for her family. Molasses krinkles and lefse were her specialties. She spent many Friday and Saturday nights dancing and playing cards. She also never missed cheering on the Twins and Vikings. She was always busy and the only time she sat down was to watch her stories. Janiece had the best sense of humor and had a saying for everything. She will be remembered for her kindness and spunk for life. Her love for her family was so great and witnessed by all.
