Letter: There are angels among us
Published 9:10 pm Thursday, January 10, 2019
Last Saturday evening, Jan. 5, my husband and I had dinner at Perkins in Albert Lea.
Ed likes to wear his military caps, as he is proud of having served his country in the Army and Air Force for 25 years. There was a family sitting near where we were and when they left, the gentleman came over and shook Ed’s hand and thanked him for serving his country. That in itself was very nice. When it was time for the waiter to give us our bill, he came and told us our meal had been paid. Then the manager came and said it was that gentleman who had paid it. This was so humbling.
We have no idea who they were, but I hope they read the paper and see this thank you in the letters to the editor section. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. That was so kind. God bless your lives forever more.
With all the bad things going on in this world, there are still a lot of good people.
