2. ‘The Mousetrap’

In the mood for a murder mystery? Look no further than Albert Lea Community Theatre’s presentation of “The Mousetrap” by Agatha Christie.

A group of strangers is stranded in a boarding house during a snowstorm, one of whom is a murderer. A full slate of suspects is present, and into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis. To get to the rationale of the killer’s pattern, the policeman probes the background of everyone present and rattles a lot of skeletons.

Performances start at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Marion Ross Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

3. ‘Theatre of the Mind’

Art inspired by literature is the theme behind the Freeborn County Arts Initiative’s newest group exhibition, titled “Theatre of the Mind.”

About 25 pieces spanning mediums from paint to textile to photography to sculpture and more are part of the show.

The gallery is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 224 S. Broadway in downtown Albert Lea.
