Area schools are canceling and delaying classes Tuesday because of weather.

Albert Lea Area Schools, Alden-Conger School, Glenville-Emmons, Lake Mills Community School, Northwood-Kensett Community Schools and United South Central School will be closed. NRHEG School will be two hours late.

Freeborn County remains under a winter weather advisory through 9 p.m. Tuesday. Roads were listed as completely covered with snow as of 7 a.m., according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
