Crash involving ambulance, car reported

A crash involving an ambulance and car was reported at 5:16 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Troy Road. No injuries were reported. 

 

3 arrested for DWI

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Amanda Rae Adams, 37, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at 2:11 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of West Clark Street and South St. Mary Avenue. Adams’ blood alcohol content was listed on police records at .10.

Albert Lea police arrested Tara Lynn Callahan, 27, for third-degree DWI during a traffic stop at 2:08 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of South Newton Avenue and East William Street. Callahan’s initial blood alcohol content was listed at .16.

Police arrested Amy Jo Woitas, 37, for fourth-degree DWI during a traffic stop at 2:31 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of West Clark Street and South St. Mary Avenue. Woitas’ blood alcohol content was listed at .09.

 

2 arrested on local warrants

Deputies arrested Soe Naing, 44, on a local warrant at 10:06 a.m. Saturday at 314 N. Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove.

Deputies arrested William Michael Oleson, 31, on two local warrants at 2:13 p.m. Friday at 210 E. Third St.

 

2 arrested, cited for domestic assault

Deputies arrested Little Fawn Lee Friend for domestic assault at 3:49 p.m. Sunday at 31268 640th Ave. in the Hartland area.

Police cited Dylan Villerreal for misdemeanor domestic assault after a physical domestic incident was reported at 3:50 p.m. Friday at 629 E. 16th St.

A Department of Human Services report of a mother hitting a child and leaving a bruise on his face was filed at 1:57 p.m. Friday in Albert Lea.

A report of a male and female fighting and the male pulling the female into the house with her screaming she didn’t want to was filed at 10:55 a.m. Saturday at 813 Freeborn Ave. No arrests were reported.

A report of a male being physical and verbally aggressive while intoxicated was filed at 1:29 a.m. Sunday at 810 Troy Road. He allegedly had a knife and took the victim’s phone away. No arrests were reported.

A report of a female hitting a male was filed at 3:50 p.m. Sunday at 310 E. Second St. Both people were spoken to, and they were expected to stay at the house together.

 

Car fire reported

A car was reported on fire at 9:29 p.m. Saturday at 209 E. Main St. in Twin Lakes. The fire was put out, and the car was expected to stay there until at least Sunday.

 

Thefts reported

Theft by fraud on a credit card was reported at 11:19 a.m. Sunday at 26203 770th Ave. in the Clarks Grove area.

Money was reported taken from at least one elderly person at 1:02 p.m. Friday at 331 S. Broadway.

A theft report was filed at 1:50 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. A suspect was identified, and a video and report were ready.

Tools were reported missing from a garage at 3:10 p.m. Friday at 1013 James Ave. Tracks reportedly led to a neighbor’s house.

Video footage of a theft was reported at 3:28 p.m. Saturday at Walmart.

A report of someone breaking a vehicle window was filed at 4:11 p.m. Saturday in the north parking lot in Albert Lea. Damage was estimated at $100. A suspect was identified.

 

Assault reported

A report of a male coming into a laundry place, stating another male owed him money was filed at 6:51 p.m. Friday at 2320 Hendrickson Road. The suspect allegedly assaulted the victim and left with his bag in a vehicle. No arrests were reported.
