The National Weather Service has reduced the snowfall amounts expected from the storm on track to begin tonight.
The weather agency as of Monday afternoon was forecasting 3 to 6 inches of snow in Albert Lea, along with a light glaze of ice. Higher amounts of 6 to 10 inches are expected to the east of Freeborn County, where there is a winter weather warning.
Freeborn County is under a winter weather advisory through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Snow and patchy blowing snow could create difficult travel conditions, particularly for the Tuesday morning commute. Snow is expected to taper off Tuesday afternoon and evening.
