5 things to do this weekend

1. Happy anniversary, Worth Brewing

Northwood’s brewery is celebrating 12 years in business with an anniversary party from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday. Go to play bean bags upstairs in the Beehive Ballroom, for a free brewery tour, for hourly prize drawings and to eat Irish stew with spent-grain bread and stout brownies.

2. Scavenger hunt

There’s a real pot of gold at the end of Saturday’s scavenger hunt — in the form of $100 cash. The first clue is at Amber Bergland’s Farm Bureau Financial Services, 2524 Bridge Ave., and each will lead you to another business. The hunt begins at 10 a.m.

3. Ole and Lena Live

In “Ole Runs for Office,” duo Mike and Julie Bateson explore the themes of love, family and life’s joys at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. In the musical comedy, Ole decides to run for office against his rival, and Lena is not happy about it. Be prepared to chip in on how it ends.

4. Battle of the bands

Hear music and fight hunger at the same time from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Club in Albert Lea. Three bands — Flashback, The Wicked Renegades and The Bleeding Heart Band — will provide entertainment. Nonperishable food donations for the Salvation Army will be accepted throughout the month at the Eagles Club.

5. Spaghetti dinner

If cabin fever hits around dinnertime Saturday, try spaghetti in Glenville. The Glenville American Legion Auxiliary is hosting a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
