ELCA conference set

The Blue Earth River Conference Women of the ELCA spring event will be April 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 235 E. Seventh St. in Blue Earth. The event will be co-hosted by Blue Earth and Frost Lutheran churches.

According to a press release, registration, coffee and fellowship will begin at 8 a.m. The program will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. No lunch will be served. Parking is available in the parking lots on the west and north sides of the church and along the street. The facility is handicap accessible.

The theme will be “All Anew: We are the church together.”

Keynote speakers will be representatives from the Five Sisters Project, Interfaith Caregivers and Global Health Missions. Temple Talk will be provided by Good Earth Village.

There will be more displays and exhibits to visit during the registration/coffee hour and after the event, the release states. Special music will be provided by the Trinity Lutheran handbell choir.

Offerings will be designated to Women of the ELCA, Five Sisters Project, Global Health Missions and Interfaith Caregivers.

Those who attend are asked to bring an offering of newborn and hospice kits and rolled bandages. Printed instructions on how to make the kits are available from local WELCA presidents.
