Near school bus crash reported

Two front passenger’s side wheels of a school bus with approximately 20 children were reportedly in the ditch, causing the bus to appear like it was going to tip over at 2:22 p.m. Monday on Freeborn County Road 26, north of Minnesota Highway 251. No injuries were reported. After the incident, students were taken off the bus from the back and given rides home from another bus. Other cars stopped, allowing the children to remain warm until the second bus arrived, according to Richard Polley, manager of Albert Lea Bus Co.

The bus reportedly came stuck after the bus driver tried to turn the bus around.
