Wells will celebrate its 150th anniversary this year and the 150th Anniversary Committee invites the public to join in celebrating throughout the year, according to a press release.

So far the committee has planned:

• Oh You Beautiful Doll! Exhibit at Wells Depot Museum throughout the month of April.

• Military exhibit honoring Wells area veterans from Aug. 9-18 at Raimann Family Gymnasium at St. Casimir’s School. The exhibit will be open from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday Aug. 9-18.

• Art Expo will start with an exhibitors reception from 7 to 9 p.m. April 26. April 27 will be a day filled with demonstrations and classes. The exhibit hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 26-27.

• The Great Minnesota Read: Read books written about Minnesota or written by Minnesota authors, then join in a lively discussion on the fourth Thursday of the month at Wells Pubic Library.
