1 injured in crash on Bridge Avenue

An Albert Lea woman was injured Monday afternoon after a three-vehicle crash on Bridge Avenue near the intersection with Sheridan Street.

Maria Teresa Duenes Sanchez, 49, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for her injuries.

According to police, Duenes Sanchez was driving a Nissan Altima and reportedly rear-ended a 2000 Ford pickup, driven by John Damon Wallace, 46, of Albert Lea.

After that collision, a third vehicle driven by Danbiel Daniel Nhial, 17, of Albert Lea struck Sanchez’s car.

The crash took place at 3:09 p.m.

 

Man arrested for drunk driving

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Ronald Corey Jacobsen, 63, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 11:57 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 685th Avenue and 310th Street in Hartland.

 

Thefts reported

Police received a report of electricity being stolen from another home at 10:04 a.m. Monday at an address on Elizabeth Avenue.

Employee theft was reported at 11:30 a.m. Monday at 2222 E. Main St.

Albert Lea police arrested Malori Marie Nesse, 27, for shoplifting and fifth-degree controlled substance possession at 9:52 p.m. Monday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

Keys and a wallet were reported stolen at 10:05 a.m. Monday on the 300 block of East William Street.

Police received a report of someone breaking into a room at Motel 6 and stealing luggage at 10:16 p.m. Monday at 2019 E. Main St.

Police received a report that someone had reportedly stolen a $60 item at 10:31 p.m. Monday at Love’s truck stop, 2751 E. Main St.

 

Dumpster filled

Police received a report at 10:53 a.m. Monday of a dumpster at 1400 S. Fourth Ave. that was reportedly half filled with someone else’s trash.

 

Tires dumped on property

Six tires were reported illegally dumped at 12:53 p.m. Monday on property at 73656 180th St., Albert Lea.

 

Window broken out

The back window of a vehicle was reported broken out at 12:43 p.m. Monday at 400 Johnson St.

 

Juvenile cited for tobacco

A juvenile was cited for a tobacco violation at 10:59 a.m. Monday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.
