Clarks Grove man injured in Albert Lea crash

A Clarks Grove man received minor injuries Tuesday after a crash at the intersection of Hammer and Sorensen roads in Albert Lea.

According to police, Christopher John Seedorf, 41, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea from the crash, which took place right before noon.

Police stated Brent Alan Hesse, 36, of Alden was driving a 2016 International 4000 Series truck eastbound on Hammer Road, when he stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Hammer Road and Sorensen Road. He reportedly told police he didn’t see anyone before pulling out into the intersection, but pulled into the path of Seedorf, who was driving a 2009 1500 Dodge Ram truck northbound on Sorensen Road.

Neither vehicle had passengers.

 

Thefts, break-ins reported

A pair of boots were reported stolen at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday at 1721 W. Main St. The value was $144.

A Ryobi power washer was reported stolen at 6:02 p.m. Tuesday at 1311 W. Front St.

A theft was reported at 8:31 p.m. Tuesday at Home Depot, 2400 Consul St. The alleged suspect left in a white four-door Buick LaSabre.

A break-in was reported at 9:56 a.m. Wednesday at 73182 220th St., Albert Lea. Money and an iPad were reported missing.

A 12-by-6-foot flatbed drop gate trailer was reported stolen at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday at 426 E. Seventh St.

 

1 arrested for meth possession

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Kiersten Jodell Knudson, 44 for fifth-degree methamphetamine possession and introducing contraband to the jail after an arrest at 10:36 p.m. Wednesday at 411 S. Broadway.

 

1 arrested for assault

Police arrested Bryan Larkins, 32, for fifth-degree assault at 6:27 p.m. Tuesday at 815 Minnesota Ave.

 

2 arrested for disorderly conduct

Police arrested Phyllis Droz, 56, and Nicole Utzka, 45, for disorderly conduct at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.

 

2 arrested on violations

Police arrested Deviany Del Angel, 28, on local warrants at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday. Martin Guillen Acevedo, 34, was arrested for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree possession and giving false information.

 

1 cited for tobacco violation

A juvenile was cited for a tobacco violation at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.
