2 arrested for drunk driving

Deputies arrested Brian Lee Townsend, 55, for third-degree driving while intoxicated, open bottle, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and failure to keep to the right after a traffic stop at 1:19 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 13 and 240th Street.

Police arrested Chelsea Rae Underly, 28, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 1:38 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Blake Avenue and U.S. Highway 65.

3 arrested on drug possession charges

Deputies arrested Tasha Rae Nelson, 29, on a warrant and new charges for fifth-degree possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing the legal process at 10:58 p.m. Friday at 124 W. First Ave. in Alden.

Police arrested Melissa Sue Rack, 37, for fifth-degree possession at 3:55 a.m. Monday after police received a report of a woman who was reportedly pounding on the door and windows at 1203 Plainview Lane.

Police arrested Emerson Joseph Graham, 18, for fifth-degree cocaine possession and no Minnesota driver’s license after a traffic stop at 11:57 p.m. Saturday at 906 W. Front St.

 

Dogs reportedly kill chickens

Two dogs were reportedly impounded at 3:26 p.m. Saturday after reportedly killing several chickens at 20189 630th Ave. in Alden.

 

Child reportedly bitten by dog

A 4-year-old child was reportedly bitten by a dog at 3:24 p.m. Sunday in Clarks Grove. The child received four stitches on their back.

 

Burglaries, theft reported

Two juveniles were reportedly cited for theft at 11:07 a.m. Friday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

Copper was reported stolen out of a garage at 5:01 p.m. Friday at 205 Wedgewood Road.

An Apple laptop, printer and mixer were reported stolen at 5:58 p.m. Friday at 214 S. Washington Ave.

A mini fridge, stroller, screened-in tent and printer were reported stolen at 7 p.m. Saturday at 301 Rezin Ave.

Cosmetics were reported stolen at 6:11 p.m. Sunday from Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

Package reported missing

A package delivered was reported missing at 2:23 p.m. Friday at 513 W. Main St.

 

Car reported damaged

A car was reported keyed at 6:41 p.m. Saturday at 115 E. Clark St.

 

Man cited for no license, marijuana

Deputies cited Thomas Allen Fynbo, 19, for no Minnesota driver’s license and possession of a small amount of marijuana at 4:51 p.m. Friday after a traffic stop near the intersection of St. John Avenue and Sheridan Street.

 

2 arrested on probation violations

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office arrested Janna Lynn Lony, 29, on a probation violation at 9:04 a.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.

Deputies arrested Dylan Anthony Villarreal, 26, at 4:27 p.m. Friday for a probation violation at 411 S. Broadway.
