Though the impending snowstorm could bring historic levels of snow to the central and western parts of the state over the next few days, Albert Lea is expected to receive much smaller amounts.

According to the National Weather Service, Albert Lea is not included in the winter storm watch or blizzard warning issued for other parts of the state, as of press time.

A wintry mix and heavy rain may be possible in southeastern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin, along with a total of 2 to 4 inches of snow in the city, the weather agency states.
