I am writing this note in response to raising the age for buying cigarettes to age 21.

I am a 79-year-old veteran. I did smoke but do not anymore.

I don’t believe it’s right that our men and women can’t buy cigarettes at 18 but have the right to serve our country and lose an arm or leg or even their life at age 18.
