The Minnesota State Fair and Minnesota Farm Bureau recognized 136 Minnesota farms as 2019 Century Farms. Qualifying farms have been in continuous family ownership for at least 100 years and are 50 acres or more.

Three area family farms were among those who received the honor. Ronald and Julie Stadheim’s family farm outside of Albert Lea has been in the family since 1864.

Two Glenville farms were also recognized. The Funfar/Hajek family and their descendants have kept the farming tradition going on the property since 1907. The Krikava family farm has a history that dates back to 1883.
