Most of the residents with outages from last week’s storm saw their power restored over the weekend, though about 400 outages remained in the Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services territory as of Monday morning, according to a news release.

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services crews continue to work with 150 extra crews from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois.

“They will continue to work across the territory, systematically, but foresee a great number of our remaining accounts to be restored by later tonight,” the release stated.

At the storm’s height there were over 8,000 customers without power, and 500 power poles were downed.

The cooperative said its office will be open normal business hours today. People can call the cooperative’s call center 24/7 at 800-734-6421 to report outages.
