Man injured in collision on Highway 13

A Hartland man was injured Thursday morning when his sport utility vehicle collided with a pickup on Minnesota Highway 13 near Hartland.

Dana Glen Christiansen, 65, was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the State Patrol report, Christiansen was driving a 2017 Chevy Traverse westbound on Freeborn County Road 31 when he reportedly stopped at a stop sign and then pulled out in front of a 2014 GMC Sierra pickup that was southbound on Highway 13.

Zachary Arron Jacobson, 36, of Hartland, the driver of the pickup, and his three juvenile passengers were not injured.

The report states all occupants were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Hartland Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance assisted at the scene.
