She was born in Kasota, the daughter of Charles and Etta (McFadden) Flowers.
Mary Ann worked in every position in her husband’s trucking business, Becker Hi-Way Frate, with the exception of driving. Mary Ann was always the happiest while working at her husband’s side. They traveled coast to coast in his antique Mack truck, pulling a fifth-wheel trailer.
Mary’s home was always open to all, whether family, friends, cousins or neighbors. She was always concerned for others and felt she needed to take care of and love all who entered the Becker home.
She knitted scarves and mittens for veterans, made beautiful tablecloths for fundraisers and benefits, while also winning many blue ribbons for her crocheting.
Mary was strong in her faith and was a faithful member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.
