Letter: Farmers hurting from some of Trump’s policies

Last summer, President Trump signed a bill that gave the farmers $12 billion in bailout money for what they had lost due to his policies. He is about to sign another $16 billion bill to help them some more. There is one highly intelligent farmer who made the statement that he was going to endorse his welfare check and give it to the Democratic Party. It is hard to believe that there are any Republican supporters left out there, but there are. Some of them come to me and tell me they plan on voting for Trump again in the next election. They must think they are my first rodeo. They are not. All I can tell them is that they need to get in line. There are a lot of weak-minded voters out there.
I have used this example before. There are people who would vote for a pig if you put a Republican sign in front of it. Trump being a good example. After all, he is the one who said he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue in New York and his popularity would go up. He could then pardon himself because he has the authority to do that. What kind of a mindset would say something like this? I’ll tell you. It is the mind of a wannabe dictator. Now what kind of a person would vote for someone like this to be president of this great country? Farmers are the backbone of this country. He has raised the tariffs on foreign steel now. U.S. steel stock has gone up, and he is bragging about that. You know what is going to happen to the price of new automobiles and farm machinery? Trump and his rich friends are going to pocket large profits, and you and I and the farmers are going to pay for it. Republicans usually are against welfare. Now, all the farmers have to do is sit in their rocking chair and wait for the mailman to bring them their welfare checks.
