I want to thank everyone who helped when I had my accident on May 8. I was leaving the library parking lot, and I had my foot on the gas pedal and the brake pedal. These pedals are close together on my vehicle. I pushed down with my foot, but it would not stop. I intended to make a left turn onto Fountain Street, but there was a vehicle close by in the westbound lane and several vehicles were ahead of the last vehicle. I did not want to crash into that vehicle, possibly causing a chain reaction and hurting someone. I went straight and into the lake. Soon, two people came to help me. They pulled me from my truck. They were so brave to go into the cold water to rescue me. They saved my life, for which I am so grateful. I want to thank them, and anyone else who helped. I was not hurt.
