Man injured after crashing stolen bicycle

A St. Paul man was reportedly airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester after he reportedly crashed a stolen bicycle Wednesday evening south of Geneva.

San Lin, 25, was reportedly seen taking the bicycle in downtown Geneva before heading south out of town on Freeborn County Road 45, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

No charges are expected to be filed for the stolen bicycle.

 

Man injured in vehicle rollover

A 22-year-old Albert Lea man was injured Thursday after a vehicle rollover southwest of Manchester.

Brandon Renteria was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea after the crash at 12:41 p.m. at the intersection of 700th Avenue and 240th Street.

According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Renteria said he was traveling in a 2005 Pontiac G6 southbound on 700th Avenue approaching 240th Street, between 30 and 40 mph, when he reportedly lost control of the car and went into the ditch and rolled over. The roadway turns from gravel to pavement at the intersection.

The Sheriff’s Office stated a search warrant was drafted for a blood test of Renteria because of suspected impairment, but the results were not available as of press time.

 

Guns missing from house

Guns were reported missing from a residence at 9:34 a.m. Thursday at 89821 220th St. in Oakland. 

 

Man arrested on warrants

Police and deputies arrested Todd William Senholtz Jr., 19, on multiple felony warrants at 7:49 p.m. Thursday at 1904 Bridge Ave.

 

Woman arrested for driving under influence

Deputies arrested Star Marie Besser, 19, for felony fifth-degree drug possession, fourth-degree driving while intoxicated for drugs and possession of paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 1:32 a.m. Friday on Interstate 35 near mile marker 17.

 

Money bags taken during burglary found 2 years later

Two zippered bank bags believed to have been taken during a burglary of Aragon Bar in 2017 were reportedly found Thursday morning on the roof of Total Glass-Lock, 311 W. Main St.

Work was reportedly being done on the roof when the bags were discovered.

The bags contained wet documents and keys and were weathered, according to police.

The $600 and $700 reported taken two years ago was not found inside the bag.

Police stated there had been no suspects in the burglary. 

 

Suspicious person reported

A suspicious male wearing a red shirt on a yellow bike was reported at 6:54 a.m. Thursday at 1311 Todd Ave.

 

Thefts reported

A purse and wallet were reported stolen at 7:12 a.m. Thursday at 2326 Larson Ave.

A van was reported stolen at 9:13 a.m. Thursday at 114 Columbus Ave. It was recovered at Myre-Big Island State Park.

A two-wheel dolly was reported stolen at 10:35 a.m. Thursday at 1409 Eberhart St. Estimated value was $1,000.

Checks turned in under a closed account were reported at 2:38 p.m. Thursday at 1619 W. Main St.

 

Car fire reported

A small electrical fire was reported on a 2008 Kia Ultima at 2:52 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Freeborn County Road 46 and 780th Avenue. The fire was extinguished prior to the arrival of firefighters.
