Multiple people arrested on warrants

Jana Lynn Long was held on a local warrant at 3:56 a.m. Thursday at 411 S. Broadway.

Theresa Mae Book was held on a local warrant at 4:13 a.m. Thursday at 411 S. Broadway.

Deputies arrested Misty Star Possehl at 11:15 a.m. Thursday on an arrest and detain warrant at 411 S. Broadway.

Police arrested Rio Santiago Acosta, 22, on an arrest and detain warrant at 5:06 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a suspicious person at 309 Fenton Ave.

Police arrested Alec John Edwards, 21, on a warrant at 11:28 p.m. Thursday at 404 W. William St.

Police arrested Phyllis Droz, 46, on a warrant at 2:19 a.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.

 

Thefts, car break-ins reported

Deputies received a report at 10 a.m. Thursday of a plaque that was reported stolen off of a rock at a park at 77436 180th St., Albert Lea.

Deputies received a report of someone who was scammed out of $4,000 at 4:20 p.m. Thursday on Bluegrass Road in Albert Lea.

About $300 and a toolbox were reported taken at 7 a.m. Wednesday at 2309 Doral Ave.

A car was reported broken into at 10:18 a.m. Wednesday at 613 Bridge Ave. Several items were reported missing. 

A car was reported rummaged through at 10:48 a.m. Wednesday at 2314 Doral Ave.

A vehicle was reportedly entered at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday at 1208 Gene Ave. Nothing was missing.

A bicycle was reported stolen out of a yard at 11:22 a.m. Wednesday at 525 W. College St.

A bicycle was reported stolen at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday at 1014 James Ave.

A car was reported rummaged through at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday at 1408 Sheridan St.

A leaf blower and two batteries were reported stolen from a garage at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday at 717 Sheridan St.

 

Man arrested for cocaine possession

Deputies arrested Tyler Thomas Zemke, 25, for felony possession of cocaine at 11:34 a.m. Thursday at 79503 298th St.

 

Attempted burglary reported

An attempted burglary was reported at 1:22 p.m. Thursday at 15874 770th Ave.

 

Woman arrested for drunken driving

Police arrested Nicole Leigh Brooks, 28, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of South Fourth Avenue and Plainview Lane.

 

Missing headstone recovered

A headstone taken from the Central Freeborn Church cemetery was discovered in some brush behind City Garage near the railroad tracks on Thursday. It was released to the cemetery president.

 

Man mugged

A man told police he was reportedly mugged at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday at 906 W. Front St. Another man who was in a short box blue Chevy pickup reportedly punched the man and threatened to kill him.

 

Fraudulent check reported

A person reportedly trying to cash a fraudulent check was reported at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday at 2708 Bridge Ave.
