Plane makes emergency landing at airport
A private plane reportedly made an emergency landing at the Albert Lea airport at 11:17 a.m. Thursday due to engine problems. The aircraft landed safely.
Thefts reported
Albert Lea police received a report of a bad check at 2:22 p.m. Thursday at 122 E. Main St.
A red 2005 Honda CRF 50cc dirt bike was reported stolen out of a garage at 2:46 p.m. Thursday at 716 Lincoln Ave. The bike was believed to have been stolen sometime between Tuesday and Thursday before the call was placed.
A silver and dark red Next bike was reported stolen at 8:42 p.m. Thursday at 504 James Ave.
Gas was reported siphoned from a car at 10:22 p.m. Thursday at 1026 Virginia Place. About $10 in gas was taken.
A cell phone was reported stolen at 5:09 p.m. Thursday at 1013 W. Ninth St. in Albert Lea.
A four-wheeler was reported stolen at 6:31 a.m. Friday at 18949 U.S. Highway 69.
Two lawn mowers, a bale spear and a bale excavator were reported stolen at 2:01 p.m. Thursday at 21173 810th Ave. in Hayward.
Break-ins reported
An attempted break-in was reported to a shed at 3:42 p.m. Thursday at 621 Hope Lane. A Speedway rewards card and Visa card were found in the yard.
1 arrested for damage, disorderly conduct
Police arrested Cruz Antonio Castillo, 21, for first-degree criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer with force after receiving a report at 6:50 p.m. Thursday from a woman whose husband was reportedly attacked by a man after answering a knock at the door at 2306 E. Main St. James Anthony, 20, was cited for underage drinking.
Damage reported
Police received a report of a vehicle that was damaged at 6:55 p.m. Thursday at 2306 E. Main St.
Damage was reported to a keypad on the side of a vehicle at 1:38 a.m. Friday at 130 W. College St.
Drug paraphernalia found
Police received a report at 5:27 p.m. Thursday of a bong, needles and bottles reportedly found in a room at 2301 E. Main St.
Dog attacks reported
The Sheriff’s Office received a report at 3:17 p.m. Thursday of dog that attacked a person on Wednesday in Emmons.
A dog reportedly attacked another dog at 2:46 p.m. Thursday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.
Juvenile cited for marijuana
A juvenile was cited for a small amount of marijuana and a probation violation at 4:41 a.m. Friday in Glenville.
