Woman seriously injured in ATV crash near Hollandale

A Hollandale woman was seriously injured Sunday morning in an ATV crash east of Hollandale.

Angela Marie O’Connell, 30, was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester for a life-threatening injury, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The State Patrol report stated O’Connell was driving a Polaris Ranger ATV southbound on South Island Circle at about 5 a.m. when she lost control of the ATV and it rolled onto Minnesota Highway 251.

The ATV came to rest on the driver’s side in the middle of the highway.

Kellie Ann Drenth, 38, Shane Ryan Drenth, 43, and Adam David Vesely, 35, all of Hollandale, were listed as passengers.

Shane Drenth received a minor injury but was not taken to the hospital.

The report stated alcohol was a factor, and none of the occupants were wearing helmets.
