After a trial last year, Citizens Community Federal Nation Association, CCFBank, sponsored T-shirts for all of the Freeborn County youth in 4-H this year as well.
Bobbie Jacobs, branch leader and personal banker at the Albert Lea location, initiated the idea and thought it would be a fun idea to do T-shirts for all the 4-H children.
“It is so neat to see all of the state fair shirts around from year after year and I thought, ‘How cool would it able to see our T-shirts all over?’” Jacobs said.
Jacobs begins the process by planning and designing the shirts. The design is then approved by the company’s marketing team and management, as well as the local 4-H organization.
The shirts were handed out to all Freeborn County 4-H youth at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds on July 29 in the 4-H Building.
“4-H is a great program in Freeborn County, and so many kids are involved,” Jacobs said. “They work so hard all year to showcase their hard work, whether it be a project or an animal, they do their best in everything they do and we want to show them we appreciate all that they do!”
“Honestly, it is all about the kids,” Jacobs said. “Their appreciation and the smiles on their faces when they get these cool shirts is so fun! I love watching all of the kids work so hard with their projects and animals and this is a great way to give back to the youth and the 4-H program for all they do! We really appreciate the Freeborn County 4-H program and would like to thank them for allowing us to make this possible!”
