The Worth County Historical Society will host its annual meeting and banquet Sept. 17 in the community room at the Worth County Fairgrounds, according to a press release.

There will be a meal at 6 p.m. followed by guest speaker Danny Steiber, the “Barn Quilt Guy.” He will talk about the history of barn quilts and the Underground Railroad through Iowa in the 1800s.

Tickets are $13, which can be paid at the door. Reservations are needed by Sept. 10, and can be made by emailing wchsiowa@gmail.com or calling 641-324-1180.
