Minnesota Energy Resources and its charitable giving organization, the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, have awarded almost $12,00 through its rewarding responders grants.
The Hollandale Fire Department was awarded $2,000 to purchase a new thermal imaging camera. According to a press release, first responders will use the equipment in search and rescue operations and to look for hot spots in active fires, which will help keep them and their community safe.
Including this year’s grants, Minnesota Energy Resources and the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation have donated more than $55,000 during the past five years to help first responders improve public safety across Minnesota, the press release stated.
