Three organists from Albert Lea will present “Summertime Blues on 69S  — Not Just Your Sunday Organist” at 3 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church of Albert Lea.

According to a press release, organists Gail Thurnau, Matt Lehman and Eileen Nelson Ness will present a concert of fun organ music, some of which would not be heard in church Sunday mornings. The concert could include music like blues, jazz, calypsos, ragtime, marches, duets and maybe a bit of Bach.

Thurnau is the organist at Ascension Lutheran and Christ Episcopal Church, Lehman is a pastor at Zion Lutheran Church and Nelson Ness is the organist at Salem Lutheran Church.

A special guest appearance will be made by Albert Lea Cantori, the release stated.

While the concert is free and open to the public, there will be an offering taken for the local food shelf.
