Orville Earl Urbain, 94, of Walters died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Open Doors United Methodist Church in Wells. The Rev. Chris Leistra will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to service at the church Monday. Interment will be at Rice Lake Cemetery in Foster Township, Faribault County. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements. Orville Earl was born Nov. 24, 1924, in Foster Township, the son of Jesse and Luella (Miller) Urbain and the twin brother of Arvilla Pearl.
Orville married Lorraine Gerber on Sept. 25, 1946, at Rice Lake Evangelical United Brethren Church. He was a lifetime farmer and loved to tinker. Orville was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a great sense of humor and was a lover of practical jokes, both giving and receiving. Orville was a long-time member of Rice Lake Church before joining Wells United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine; sisters Arvilla (Clarence) Anderson and Ethel (Norman) Steele; and nephew, Gary Steele.
Orville is survived by his children Richard Urbain of Dodge Center and Janice Russell of Holmen, Wisconsin; grandchildren Corina Russell, Jesse Russell and Kristin (Chris) Wichert; great-grandchildren Hannah and Bridget Russell, Ethan and Jordan Russell, and Benjamin Wichert; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
