A 68-year-old Austin woman was injured Friday afternoon after the vehicle she was riding in crashed off of Interstate 90 at Freeborn County Road 46.

Diep Ngoc Truong was taken by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report indicates Truong was the passenger in the 2008 Toyota Rav4, driven by Dang Van Le, 68, of Austin.

Van Le was reportedly driving westbound on Interstate 90 and exited at County Road 46, where it crossed the intersection and came to rest in the opposite ditch.

The crash took place at 4:59 p.m.

The State Patrol report indicated both occupants were wearing their seat belts and alcohol was not a factor.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Hayward first responders assisted at the scene.
