Clifford Ordean Buendorf, 84, formerly of Walters, died Sept. 16, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Community-The Woodlands in Albert Lea. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Lutheran Church in Walters. The Rev. Don Rose will officiate. Visitation is at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Rice Lake Cemetery in Foster Township, Faribault County. Arrangements are entrusted to Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. Clifford was born April 20, 1935, in Alden Township, Freeborn County, to Carma (Monson) and Henry Buendorf. He was united in marriage to Vernita A. Janzig on Oct. 15, 1959, in Wells at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Clifford is survived by three sons, Clyde Buendorf (Diane Heaney) of Albert Lea, David (Carol) Buendorf of Maple Grove and Dale (Paula) Buendorf of Walters; six grandchildren, Claire Buendorf (Taylor Duncan), Jack, Payton, Lauren, Mason and Henry; sisters Clarine (Larry) Elvebak of Blue Earth and Mary Speener of Cottage Grove; brother, Dan (Sandra) Buendorf, of St. Peter; sister-in-law, Karen Jensen, of Albert Lea; brothers-in-law Jerry (Lori) Janzig of Alden and Jonathon (Tami) Janzig of Wells; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Vernita; parents; sister, Bonnie Hochreiter; and brother-in-law, Don Jensen.
