The city of Albert Lea is sponsoring its fall Hometown Pride Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 12.
As part of the event, the city will allow those with proof of Albert Lea residency to deposit one load of brush and yard waste, household garbage or demolition debris for free.
According to a press release, residents will also be able to bring in appliances, sofas and mattresses for $10, other furniture pieces for $5 and passenger car tires for $3 each. Regular rates will apply for rims and e-waste.
Waste Management has made a financial contribution to help sustain this year’s event.
