2 arrested for drunk driving

Deputies arrested Rhonda Renae Cromwell, 52, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated at 8:06 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of West Main Street and Wedgewood Road.

Police arrested Antonio Ray Lopez, 28, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after receiving a report at 4:59 a.m. Sunday of a male passed out in a vehicle at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and East Main Street.

Man arrested for threats

Police arrested Michael Houston for second-degree assault after he was reportedly threatening with a knife at 12:35 p.m. Sunday at 613 E. Sixth St.

 

Man injured in crash

A man was injured Monday afternoon after he reportedly crashed his truck on 240th Street, about a quarter mile east of 725th Avenue.

Ronald Sipple, 71, was reportedly traveling west in a Ford truck when the crash took place at 3:39 p.m. Monday. He went into the south ditch and came to a stop facing west.

According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Sipple was cited for having an open bottle in a motor vehicle.

 

2 cited for drug possession

Deputies cited Daniel Patrick Strickland, 39, for felony fifth-degree possession of mushrooms at 10 p.m. Sunday at Harmony Park, 75903 298th St.

Deputies arrested Michael Lee Blomberg, 24, for felony fifth-degree possession of cocaine at 10:35 p.m. Sunday at Harmony Park.

 

Vehicles damaged

The back window of a vehicle was reported broken out at 6:21 a.m. Friday at 2340 Crossroads Bvd.

A window was reported smashed out of a vehicle parked at the Blazing Star Trail at 4:13 p.m. Saturday on the 100 block of Garfield Ave.

Windows were reported broken out of a vehicle at 8:58 p.m. Sunday at 2510 Bridge Ave. Items were stolen.

Police received a report at 11:43 a.m. Monday of a tire that was slashed on a vehicle at 306 E. Fifth St. The incident reportedly took place between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.

A tire was reported slashed at 4:03 p.m. Monday at 930 S. Broadway.

A vehicle was reported shot at with a BB gun at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday at 519 Triangle Drive.

 

Tractor fire reported

A tractor was reported on fire at 5:10 p.m. Saturday at 13687 795th Ave. in Glenville.

 

Man taken to hospital after crash

An Albert Lea man was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after a crash involving a car and a bicycle at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Katherine Street.

According to police, Thomas Houge, 60, of Albert Lea was driving a 2014 Chrysler 200 and was stopped at the stop sign on Katherine Street preparing to turn onto Bridge Avenue when he collided with Matthew Block, 37, of Glenville who was bicycling south on Bridge Avenue.

Houge was taken to the hospital for injuries deemed not life-threatening. Block was not injured.

 

Vehicle break-ins reported

A vehicle was reported rummaged through at 12:27 a.m. Monday at 412 High St.

Two vehicles were reported broken into at 10:29 a.m. Monday at 720 Clausen Ave.

Someone reportedly tried to break into a vehicle at 11:31 p.m. Monday at 717 Fountain St.

A construction trailer was reported broken into at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at 14002 750th Ave. in Glenville.

 

6 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Paul Michael Robert Wagner, 36, on a warrant at 7:39 p.m. Friday at 217 S. Third Ave.

Police arrested Raul Alejandro Leon, 20, on a warrant at 4:02 p.m. Saturday at 1611 S.E. Broadway.

Police arrested Tiffany Kay Reyerson, 39, on a local warrant and fifth-degree drug possession at 10:29 p.m. Friday at 917 S. Broadway.

Police arrested Kenneth Deyemi Dean, 35, on a local warrant and a domestic abuse no contact order violation at 10:41 p.m. Monday at 1714 S.E. Marshall St.

Wayne Foster Tuttle, 34, reportedly turned himself in on a local warrant at 3:58 a.m. Tuesday at 411 S. Broadway.

Marco Antonio Alquicira, 47, reportedly turned himself in on a local warrant at 4:11 a.m. Tuesday at 411 S. Broadway.

 

3 arrested on probation violations

Deputies arrested Salim Hassain Counts for a probation violation and possession of methamphetamine  at 12:42 p.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.

Police arrested Melissa Sue Rack, 38, on a probation violation at 11:01 p.m. Friday at 719 Marshall St.

Police arrested Holly Marie Nelson, 36, on a probation violation at 8:44 p.m. Saturday at 411 S. Broadway.
