Area woman injured in Highway 13 crash

A New Richland woman was injured Thursday morning when her vehicle collided with a semi on Minnesota Highway 13 near the highway’s intersection with Interstate 90.
Christa Marie Ryan, 30, was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The State Patrol report indicates Ryan was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 in a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox at 8:06 a.m. when she exited to Highway 13 in Freeborn County. After stopping at the bottom of the exit ramp, she entered the intersection to Highway 13 and collided with a southbound 2007 Peterbilt semi driven by Brett Adam Dulas, 33, of Waseca.
Roads were dry at the time of the crash, and both Dulas and Ryan were wearing their seat belts. Alcohol was not a factor.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Albert Lea Police Department, Albert Lea Fire Department, Minnesota Department of Transportation and Manchester Fire Department.
