The Upper Midwest Emmy honored KIMT News 3 with a Regional Emmy Award at its annual ceremony Oct. 5 in Minneapolis.

According to a press release, KIMT News 3’s Daybreak team won first place in the Newscast -Morning category for coverage of the Memorial Day tornadoes during its DayBreak newscast. This marks the second consecutive year that KIMT News 3’s Daybreak team has won an Emmy.

The team included Tyler Utzka, Arielle Harrison, Annalisa Pardo and News Director Jaime Copley.

In 2018, KIMT News 3’s Daybreak team won first place in the Newscast-Morning category for winter weather coverage.
