The public is invited to attend a coffee and conversation session on transportation Wednesday in Albert Lea with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and its partners IN Freeborn County and the city of Albert Lea.
The gathering is from 9 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at The Interchange, 211 S. Broadway in Albert Lea.
Interested residents may stop by for coffee and cookies and talk with Mark Schoenfelder, district engineer for MnDOT’s southeast Minnesota District 6; Sue Miller, Freeborn County engineer; and Steve Jahnke, Albert Lea city engineer.
A short presentation on transportation projects in the area will be made, but much of the time will be left for residents to ask questions and learn about transportation efforts and challenges in the city, county and southeast Minnesota.
MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all, according to a press release, and believes everyone should have an equal opportunity to enjoy the programs, services and activities it provides. If you feel you need a reasonable accommodation in order to fully participate in this event, such as an ASL or spoken language interpreter, or need documents in an alternate format, such as braille or large print, contact Janet Miller at 651-366-4720 or email ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us as soon as possible, but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
