Letter: Picture Democrats paint isn’t accurate

Jim Hagedorn, our U.S. representative, has shown that he supports due process by opposing the impeachment inquiry being run by D.C. swamp Democrats. At Hagedorn’s town halls, he has talked about impeachment very honestly and without shying away from the question. One of his Democratic opponents, Dan Feehan, said when asked about whether he supports impeachment, said “It’s not something I’m focused on.” In other words, he supports impeachment, but he doesn’t want to talk about it because he knows it will lose him votes in a district that voted for President Trump by 15%. A lot of people will also notice that at Hagedorn’s most recent town halls, not a single person asked about impeachment, probably because they are sick of the wasteful inquiry that is dead upon arrival in the Senate.

Another thing you will see Dan do is constantly attack Hagedorn on his social media campaign accounts for things Hagedorn can’t control, such as the hospital closing in Springfield where Dan blamed the closing on Congressman Hagedorn. Dan will blame whatever he can on Congressman Hagedorn to win the 2020 election. Jim Hagedorn could find the cure to cancer and still be blamed for every other problem in the world. You even see it in this paper when the Freeborn County DFLers write about how “mean” and “insensitive” Jim Hagedorn is when in reality those people writing in the paper are the ones screaming at him, yelling degrading names at him and trolling him on social media.

Remember that when you vote next year. The Democrats will try to paint a picture for you, but it will be anything but accurate.
