Social Security fraud reported

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of Social Security fraud at 12:10 p.m. Monday at 364 S. Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove.

 

Multiple people arrested on warrants

Deputies arrested Nyaroun Jordan Manning, 19, on a local warrant at 10:47 p.m. Sunday at 411 S. Broadway.

Ruth Gabriella Oregon, 39, turned herself in on a local warrant at 7:44 a.m. Saturday at 411 S. Broadway.

Police arrested Kenneth James Savoy Jr., 31, on a local warrant at 5:02 p.m. Saturday at 410 E. Fourth St.

Police arrested Nichole Ann Utzka, 47, on a local warrant at 6:44 p.m. Friday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.

Police arrested Tiffany Kay Ryerson, 40, on local warrants at 7:15 p.m. Friday at 621 E. 11th St.

Police arrested Joshua Jacob Bornson, 19, on two local warrants after a foot pursuit at 10:07 p.m. Friday near the intersection of South First Avenue and West Main Street.

Police arrested Misty Star Possehl, 40, on a local warrant at 11:40 p.m. Friday at 928 W. Front St.

Police arrested Gilberto Sanchez Jr., 47, on a warrant at 12:33 a.m. Saturday at 718 Water St.

Deputies arrested Athena Alizabeth Berg, 27, on a warrant at 12:09 p.m. Thursday at 411 S. Broadway.

Police arrested Cody Padraic Trott, 30, on a Department of Corrections warrant at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday at 526 W. College St.

 

2 arrested for domestic assault

Police arrested Mario Ramon Medina Cortes, 30, for felony strangulation, domestic assault and criminal damage at 7:33 p.m. Saturday at 2306 E. Main St.

Police arrested Ricky Allen Severtson, 68, for gross misdemeanor domestic assault at 10:12 a.m. Friday after receiving a report of a domestic altercation in an alleyway.

 

Break-ins, thefts reported

A house was reported broken into at 10:18 a.m. Friday at 604 Giles Place.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 1:48 p.m. Friday at 2019 E. Main St.

A person reported at 5:47 p.m. Thursday having her cell phone stolen while at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

1 arrested for DWI

Deputies arrested Colten Blaine Waldo, 22, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 1:03 a.m. Friday at 511 First Ave. SW in Glenville.   

 

Juvenile cited for violation

One juvenile was cited for a tobacco violation at 1:49 p.m. Monday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

 

Vehicle damaged

A vehicle was reported damaged at 9:31 p.m. Monday while parked at 1623 W. Main St. Damage was estimated at $300.

 

2 cited after reported fight

Police cited Hakeem Olajuwan Miller, 24, for carrying a pistol under the influence of alcohol, and Tommy Lee Walker, 58, for fifth-degree assault after receiving a report of a fight at 2:22 a.m. Sunday at 906 W. Front St.

 

Stove fire reported

Albert Lea firefighters responded to a report of a stove fire at 10:13 p.m. Sunday at 2328 Clayton Ave.
