Youth teams from squirts to varsity participated in Albert Lea Hockey Day on Jan. 24 and Jan. 25 at Albert Lea City Arena. This year brought the addition of a social gathering just down the road at The Barn of Chapeau Shores, which offered refreshments and a break from all the puck-flying action. The day-long tournament, now in its 14th year, is a celebration and fundraiser for the local youth hockey program and is hosted by the Albert Lea Hockey Association.
