Freeborn County up 3 more COVID-19 cases

Freeborn County’s lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by another three patients, according to the Minnesota Department of Health Sunday morning.
The total cases in the county is now 34 with no deaths reported. Details about the county’s new cases reported by the department on Saturday and Sunday were not immediately available.
Mower County’s case total increased by one to 27, but other neighboring counties remained the same: Faribault County, four; Waseca County, three; and Steele County, nine.
Cases across the state increased to 2,356, up 143 since the day prior. Of those patients, 1,160 no longer need isolation.
The department said deaths increased to 134, up 13 from the previous day, and 228 people are hospitalized, including 116 in intensive care.
Cases across the state have ranged in age from 4 weeks to 104 years old, with 64 being the median age for hospitalized cases. Deaths range from 56 to 104 years old with the median age being 85.
The department states 26% of cases were likely exposed through congregate living settings, and 19% from travel.
The highest number of cases have been reported in Hennepin County, with 924 cases and 75 deaths, while the next most are in Ramsey and Olmsted counties, with 196 and 194 cases respectively.
There have been 45,716 tests completed, including 10,104 through the Minnesota Department of Health’s public health lab and 35,612 through external laboratories.
